This flexible programme offers a range of leadership courses for new or existing leaders to gain the skills to be an amazing motivator of people. It is aimed at first line to middle management.

How to be an Effective Leader
By the end of this one day workshop you will be able to:
- Identify the characteristics that make a great leader
- Discuss the difference between a leader and a manager
- Recognise the different leadership styles and how they link in with emotional intelligence
- Understand the team building process (forming/storming/norming/performing)
- Practice of range of motivation tools and techniques to increase the engagement levels and productivity of your team members
Managing Change
By the end of this one day workshop you will be able to:
- Discuss the role of the leader when supporting and implementing change in the workplace
- Demonstrate awareness of the techniques involved in understanding change
- Understand all stages of the change curve
- Share best practice around communicating change effectively
Creative Problem Solving
By the end of this half day workshop you will be able to:
- Get inspired, create ideas and make them happen
- Explore and understand a range of creative techniques including brainstorming, cause and effect and Disney Theory
- Explore how to work as a team to perform a task involving problem solving
Appraisal Skills
By the end of this workshop (half to one day depending on your in-house appraisal system) you will be able to:
- To identify the skills required to conduct an appraisal including contracting, chaining and challenging questions
- To understand the stages of an appraisal process e.g. analysis and decision making
- Deal with difficult situations that may arise during an appraisal
- To develop these skills through practical exercises, case studies and role plays
Time & Priority Management
By the end of this half day workshop you will be able to:
- Identify and analyse your own workplace priorities
- Set achievable and manageable goals
- Explore tools to help in time and priority management
- Confidently say ‘no’ where appropriate and negotiate deadlines
